Croatia Industrial Output Rebounds in February

Croatia’s industrial production increased by 1.2% year-on-year in February 2026, reversing a 0.8% decline in January. Output rose for capital goods (7% vs -4.2% in January), intermediate goods (2.8% vs 0.4%), and non-durable consumer goods (2.1% vs -1.1%), but continued to fall for durable consumer goods (-9.3% vs -2.9%) and energy (-4.3% vs 5.6%).

By sector, manufacturing returned to growth, with output up 1.3% after a 0.8% drop in January. The rebound was mainly driven by a surge in the production of transport equipment (99.2% vs -3.6%), tobacco products (90.8% vs -34.9%), electrical equipment (26% vs 17.3%), and chemical products (24.3% vs 95.6%). Meanwhile, the contraction in mining and quarrying eased (-4.2% vs -13.7%), and output continued to rise in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (7.1% vs 11.1%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, however, industrial production declined by 0.8% in February, following a 2.4% fall in the previous month.
