Spain’s services sector strengthened in March 2026, with the HCOB Spain Services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) rising to 53.3, up from 51.9 in February. The latest reading, released on 07 April 2026, signals a firmer expansion in activity across the country’s services industry.
The move further above the 50-point threshold that separates growth from contraction suggests that service providers have seen improving conditions as the first quarter progressed. The acceleration from February’s level indicates that demand in key service segments – which include areas such as tourism, business services and consumer-facing activities – continued to build through March.
With the PMI advancing for a second month and remaining comfortably in expansionary territory, the March data point to a more resilient services backdrop for Spain as it moves into the second quarter of 2026.
