Colombian PPI Rebounds to 1-Year High in March

Colombia’s National Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 4.22% year-on-year in March 2026, rebounding from a 0.30% decline in February. Mining was the only sector to outpace the overall average, with prices up 10.83%. Agriculture, livestock, and fishing increased 4.05%, while industry advanced 2.87%, both below the headline 4.22% rate.

The main upward contributors included raw, semi-processed, or powdered gold (including platinum-gold), which surged 51.40%; crude petroleum and bituminous mineral oils, up 10.47%; and citrus fruits, up 61.80%. The steepest declines were recorded in coffee, down 27.77%; hulled or green coffee, down 12.05%; and ethyl alcohol and other alcohols, including denatured products, down 26.84%.

On a monthly basis, the PPI rose 3.94%.
