The Swedish economy was flat month-on-month in February 2026, after a downwardly revised 1.0% contraction in January—its sharpest decline since February 2025. “Economic activity remained largely unchanged in March compared with February, with limited changes in several major aggregates,” said Asuman Erenel, economist at Statistics Sweden. On an annual basis, the economy grew 1.6% in February, up from a downwardly revised 0.4% expansion in January.
