Poland’s registered unemployment rate held steady at 6.1% in March 2026, matching market expectations and remaining at its highest level since September 2021. The number of unemployed people fell by 5.1 thousand compared with the previous month, to 949.8 thousand. Women accounted for 49.1% of all registered unemployed. Most jobseekers were still not eligible for unemployment benefits, with this group making up 86.8% of the total. A year earlier, in March 2025, the unemployment rate was 0.7 percentage points lower, at 5.4%.
