FX.co ★ North Macedonia Retail Sales at 9-Month High

Retail sales in North Macedonia increased by 8.1% year-on-year in March 2026, accelerating from a 4.4% rise in February. This was the fastest annual growth since June 2026, supported mainly by higher sales of food, beverages, and tobacco (+12.7%), as well as non-food products excluding fuel (+8.2%). In contrast, sales of automotive fuel edged down by 0.1%. Excluding fuel trade, overall retail sales advanced by 11.2%. In nominal terms, retail turnover also grew by 11.2% in March.
