Retail sales in Chile rose 4.1% year-on-year in April 2026, easing from a downwardly revised 4.5% increase in March. The strongest contributions came from sales of miscellaneous consumer goods (up 6.8%), new light motor vehicles (up 15.6%), and motor vehicle spare parts, tires, and accessories (up 10%). On a monthly basis, retail sales fell 0.5%—the largest decline since July of the previous year—after an upwardly revised 0.3% increase in March.
