The DAX 40 edged higher toward 25,100 on Thursday, its highest level in over a week and the third consecutive session of gains. Investors continued to rotate out of technology and chipmaking stocks amid persistent uncertainty surrounding AI. Infineon Technologies fell 2.1%, while AI-linked firms Hochtief and Siemens Energy also declined by roughly 2% each. On the upside, Bayer jumped more than 4% after announcing it will consolidate its US operations involving the controversial glyphosate-based weedkiller into a separate subsidiary, Ruveon. Supporting the move, Deutsche Bank raised its rating on Bayer to "Buy." In political and economic developments, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s ruling coalition presented an ambitious reform package that includes €10 billion in tax cuts for low-income households, pension reforms, and measures to boost the supply of affordable housing.
