Spanish Consumer Sentiment Edges Back Into Positive Territory in July IPSOS PCSI

Spain’s consumer confidence inched back into positive territory in July, as the Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) rose to 50.64, up from 49.70 in June 2026.

The month-over-month improvement, based on data updated on 09 July 2026, marks a shift from slightly negative to marginally positive sentiment among Spanish consumers. The index reading above the 50-point threshold suggests that, on balance, respondents are now reporting a more optimistic view of economic conditions compared with the previous month.

Under the survey’s methodology, the “Actual” figure reflects the change in July versus June, while the “Previous” figure captures the change in June compared with May. With July’s gain, the data indicate a modest but notable strengthening in consumer sentiment as the summer period progresses.
