Argentina’s Inflation Eases Marginally in June, CPI Slips to 33.5% YoY

Argentina’s consumer price inflation showed a slight moderation in June 2026, with the year-over-year CPI rate edging down to 33.5% from 33.6% in May 2026. The latest data, updated on 14 July 2026, indicate that price pressures remain extremely elevated but are no longer accelerating on an annual basis.

Both the current and previous readings reflect year-over-year comparisons, measuring how prices in a given month change relative to the same month a year earlier. In May, inflation was 33.6% higher than in May of the previous year; in June, prices were 33.5% higher than in June a year earlier. The marginal decline suggests inflation may be stabilising at a high level, a critical development for policymakers, businesses, and investors closely tracking the trajectory of Argentina’s price dynamics.
