The UK’s economic growth lost some momentum in June, according to the latest Monthly GDP Tracker from the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR). The indicator eased to 0.4% in June 2026, down from 0.7% previously, signalling a moderation in the pace of expansion.
The fresh data, updated on 16 July 2026, suggest that while the UK economy remains in growth territory, the tempo has slowed compared with earlier in the year.
