FX.co ★ Baltic Dry Index Falls to Over 2-Week Low

The Baltic Dry Index fell 2.9% to 2,671 on Monday, its lowest level since July 2. The Capesize index, which tracks vessels that typically transport 150,000-ton cargoes such as iron ore and coal, declined 5.1% to 3,889, the weakest reading in more than two weeks. The Panamax index, covering ships that usually carry 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal or grain, slipped 0.9% to 2,227. Among smaller vessel segments, the Supramax index rose to 1,738, its highest level since August 2022.
