Latvia’s Producer Price Inflation Accelerates to 3.3% YoY in June 2026

Latvia’s producer price inflation picked up pace in June 2026, with the Producer Price Index (PPI) rising 3.3% year-over-year, up from 2.0% in May 2026. The latest data, updated on 21 July 2026, signal a strengthening in price pressures at the factory gate compared with the same period a year earlier.

The year-over-year figures show that the June reading represents a notable acceleration from the previous month’s annual comparison. In May, Latvian producers were facing more moderate cost and price increases, but June’s data indicate that input and output prices in the industrial sector have moved higher on a yearly basis.

Because the PPI measures changes in prices received by domestic producers for their output, the June uptick may foreshadow further inflationary pressure in the broader economy if higher producer costs are passed through to consumers in the coming months.
