Denmark’s unemployment rate held at 2.7% in June 2026, unchanged for the fifth consecutive month and remaining at its highest level since September 2021. The number of unemployed increased by 0.4 thousand from the previous month to 82.2 thousand. The unemployment rate for men was stable at 3.0%, while the rate for women was unchanged at 3.1%.
The number of recipients of unemployment benefits rose by 0.5 thousand to 72.3 thousand, whereas the number of people receiving cash assistance fell by 0.1 thousand to 9.9 thousand. Unemployment rates were steady across most age groups: 16–24 (1.6%), 25–29 (4.9%), 40–49 (2.7%), 50–59 (2.3%), and 60 years and over (3.2%). The only exception was the 30–39 age group, where the unemployment rate inched up to 4.3% from 4.2% in the previous month.
