Croatia Inflation Rate Eases to 5-Month Low

Croatia’s annual inflation rate slowed to 3.9% in July 2026, down from 4.5% in June, according to a preliminary estimate. This was the lowest rate since February. A key factor behind the moderation was a 1.1% year-on-year decline in prices for non-food industrial goods excluding energy.

At the same time, inflationary pressures remained evident in other categories. Energy prices surged 12.2%, reflecting ongoing effects from the conflict in the Middle East. Service prices also continued to increase sharply, rising 8.5%, while prices for food, beverages, and tobacco rose 0.5%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.2% in July, following a 0.4% decline in June. This marked the third consecutive month of falling prices, although the pace of decline has slowed.
