US Producer Prices Seen Rising 0.2%

US producer prices are expected to rise 0.2% month-over-month in July 2026, following a 0.3% decline in June. Core producer prices—excluding the more volatile food and energy components—are forecast to increase 0.3% in July, up from a 0.2% gain in June.

On a yearly basis, headline producer inflation is projected to ease to 4.9% from 5.5% in June, though it would still stand at a four-month high. At the same time, annual core producer inflation is seen slowing to 4.2% from 4.7%, its lowest level since March.
