Ireland Inflation Rate Steady at 3.4%

Ireland’s annual inflation rate stood at 3.4% in July 2026, unchanged from June. Price growth accelerated in several categories, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.7% vs 0.6% in June), clothing and footwear (8.5% vs 7.0%), housing and utilities (7.7% vs 7.3%), health (1.8% vs 1.7%), recreation and culture (0.5% vs 0.1%), and miscellaneous goods and services (2.6% vs 1.9%).

Price increases were stable for education (8.9%), restaurants and hotels (3.6%), and information and communication (1.4%), while costs for furnishings and household equipment returned to growth (0.1% vs -0.1%).

By contrast, inflation eased for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.5% vs 2.6%), transportation (2.1% vs 4.1%), and insurance and financial services (5.5% vs 5.7%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.1% in July, slowing from a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
