US Core Producer Prices Rise Less than Expected

In July 2026, core producer prices in the United States—which exclude food and energy—rose 0.2% from the previous month, easing from an upwardly revised 0.4% gain in June. The result came in below market expectations of a 0.3% increase, indicating that the rebound in energy prices has so far had only a limited pass-through to underlying segments of wholesale trade.
