Georgia Producer Inflation Eases Further in July

Producer prices in Georgia increased by 5.1% year-on-year in July 2026, down from 5.9% in June and representing the slowest annual rise since September 2025. The deceleration was mainly driven by more moderate price growth in mining and quarrying (14.4% vs. 15.3% in June), while inflation in manufacturing remained unchanged at 5.2%.

Within manufacturing, price growth eased for chemicals and chemical products (15.4% vs. 19.1%) and for coke and refined petroleum products (6.0% vs. 18.5%). In contrast, prices accelerated for food products (6.6% vs. 5.8%) and basic metals (11.0% vs. 10.6%).

Additionally, prices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply declined (-1.7% vs. +4.4% previously), while inflation in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services also slowed (5.7% vs. 6.7%). On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 0.7% in July, following a 0.8% decrease in June.
