International arrivals to Vietnam climbed 18.4% year-on-year to a four-month high of 1.99 million in August 2026, a sharp acceleration from the 6.6% growth recorded in July. Arrivals from China rose 10.4% to 457,000, while the number of Russian visitors more than doubled to 137,000. By contrast, visitors from South Korea declined 3.2% to 372,000. Over the first eight months of 2026, Vietnam welcomed a total of 15.9 million international visitors, up 14.4% from the same period a year earlier.
