Turkey’s Producer Inflation Inches Up to 27.95% in August YoY

Turkey’s Producer Price Index (PPI) rose slightly in August 2026, with the annual rate edging up to 27.95% year-over-year from 27.83% in July, according to data updated on 3 September 2026.

The figures show that producer-level inflationary pressures remain elevated and broadly stable, with only a modest acceleration between July and August. On a year-over-year basis, the August reading reflects how wholesale prices have changed compared with August of the previous year, while the July figure was measured against July a year earlier.

The incremental uptick suggests that underlying cost pressures for Turkish producers have not meaningfully eased, which may continue to filter through to consumer prices and factor into market expectations for monetary and fiscal policy in the coming months.
