Norway’s Inflation Ticks Up to 3.3% in August, Ending Recent Cooling Trend

Norway’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 3.3% year-on-year in August 2026, up from 3.0% in July, according to data updated on 10 September 2026. The increase marks a pause in the recent disinflationary trend, as price growth picked up slightly on an annual basis.

Both the July and August readings are calculated on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month’s consumer prices with the same month a year earlier.
