Latvia's current account deficit narrowed to €155 million in July 2026, down from €327 million in the same month a year earlier. The goods deficit shrank to €490 million as exports rose by 15.4%, outpacing the 9.9% growth in imports. The primary income balance moved into a surplus of €42 million, compared with a deficit of €40 million in July 2025, while the secondary income surplus more than doubled to €108 million. In contrast, the services surplus decreased to €184 million.
