Turkey’s Economic Confidence Index climbed to 101.3 in September 2026 from 100.6 in August, remaining above the neutral 100 threshold for a second consecutive month and marking its highest reading since June 2023. This reflected a more optimistic overall outlook, driven in particular by stronger retail and consumer sentiment. The retail trade confidence index rose 1.1% month-on-month to 111.3, while the consumer confidence index increased 1.3% to 91.9, though it continued to lag below the 100 level. The manufacturing confidence index inched up 0.1% to 102.5, and the services confidence index held steady at 111.9. By contrast, the construction confidence index slipped 0.2% to 83.0, remaining significantly below the neutral benchmark.
