US wholesale inventories are estimated to have increased 0.7% month-over-month to $965.7 billion in August 2026, following a 1.3% rise in July. This would mark the seventh consecutive monthly gain, supported by a 0.7% increase in durable goods inventories and a 0.5% advance in nondurable goods stocks. On a year-over-year basis, preliminary estimates indicate a 6.6% rise in wholesale inventories.
