Vietnam recorded a trade surplus of USD 1.27 billion in September 2026, down from USD 2.97 billion in the same month a year earlier. This marked the country’s first monthly trade surplus since November 2025, amid strong growth in both exports and imports. Exports rose 39.1% year-on-year to USD 59.48 billion, while imports increased 48.5% to USD 58.21 billion.
