Estonia’s trade balance showed a notable improvement in August 2026, with the deficit narrowing to -360.0 million euros from -454.0 million euros in July 2026. The latest data, updated on 12 October 2026, point to a moderation in external imbalances after a deeper shortfall in the previous month.
While the trade balance remains in negative territory, the roughly 94-million-euro reduction in the deficit suggests either some firming in exports, a pullback in imports, or a combination of both.
