European Stocks Attempt a Rebound

European stocks inched higher on Wednesday, with the STOXX 50 up 0.2% and the STOXX 600 rising 0.1%, staging a modest rebound after two straight sessions of declines. Sentiment was supported by US corporate earnings, including results from SpaceX and 3M, while investors also assessed a fresh round of European quarterly reports. EssilorLuxottica jumped more than 11% after posting stronger‑than‑expected third-quarter revenue, and ASML Holding gained 2%. By contrast, Carrefour tumbled more than 10% after the retailer cut its profit outlook and reduced capital expenditure plans, citing persistent domestic unrest and an energy price shock that continues to dampen consumer confidence.
