Investors remained focused on corporate earnings ahead of the ECB’s monetary policy announcement later in the day. The central bank is widely expected to leave its key interest rates unchanged, mirroring the recent decision by the US Federal Reserve.
On the corporate front, Adidas gained 3.7% after reporting record profits and raising its full-year guidance. Airbus rose as much as 3.2% after reaffirming its full-year forecasts and production plans, despite delivering mixed quarterly results. Henkel advanced more than 2% as stronger-than-expected third-quarter figures prompted an upgrade to its full-year outlook. In contrast, Vonovia led the laggards, dropping more than 5% after releasing preliminary nine-month results and striking a more cautious tone on its full-year guidance, while also trimming some of its 2028 targets.
