Georgia’s economy grew by 6.0% year-on-year in September 2026, slowing from 6.3% in August and registering its weakest pace since October 2025. The expansion was driven by robust activity in construction, information and communication, mining, trade, and financial and insurance services. By contrast, output in manufacturing, as well as in administrative and support services, declined compared with a year earlier. Over the first nine months of 2026, average real GDP growth reached 7.4%. External trade also remained strong: exports rose by 19.6% year-on-year to USD 6.15 billion, while imports increased by 5.3% to USD 14.38 billion. Consequently, total merchandise trade turnover expanded by 9.2% to USD 20.54 billion.
