Macau’s economy expanded by 0.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2026, slowing from 0.3% in the previous quarter, according to preliminary estimates. This was the weakest pace of growth since the first quarter of 2025, as exports of gaming services declined by 4.8%, reflecting short-term adjustments in gross gaming revenue driven by external environmental factors. By contrast, exports of other tourism-related services increased by 6.6%, supported by a rise in visitor arrivals. On the domestic side, gross fixed capital formation surged by 17.2%, underpinned by faster progress in both public and private construction projects.
