Croatia Inflation Rate Rises to 5-Month High

Croatia’s annual inflation rate accelerated to 4.9% in October 2026, up from 4.7% in September and reaching its highest level since May, according to a flash estimate. The figure also exceeded market expectations of 4.7%. The increase was largely driven by a sharp rise in energy prices, which jumped 20.7%. Prices for food, beverages, and tobacco inched up by 0.2%, while service prices climbed 7.5%. In contrast, prices of non-energy industrial goods declined by 1.1%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.7%, following a 0.9% increase in the previous month.
