Shēngxiào coin series (UK)

The Royal Mint has presented a new series of coins called Lunar or Shēngxiào. This year, coins feature a tiger. According to the Chinese Lunar calendar, this animal is a symbol of the upcoming year. The new coin series, which combines elements from British and Asian cultures, resembles the series issued in 2010.

Tiger Freshwater Pearl Chinese Lunar coin (Fiji)

The mint of Fiji has also issued a series of gold and silver coins dedicated to those born under the Chinese Lunar year of the Tiger. The coin has an apricot freshwater pearl insert as well as a selective gold plating and a certificate of authenticity. The mintage is limited.

Year of the Tiger Coin (New Zealand, Niue)

New Zealand Mint has produced Year of the Tiger Silver coins that will be issued in 2022. The nominal value of a coin is 50 New Zealand cents. The reverse features a tiger cautiously protruding from a thicket of bamboo. The obverse carries the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The name of the coin is written along its rims.

Year of the Tiger Coin (Australia)

The Royal Australian Mint has issued several unique products for the Lunar series. The series includes silver, gold, and platinum coins. Gold and platinum coins portray a fearless tiger standing on a peak with its open jaws displaying razor sharp canine teeth, whereas silver coins feature a small tiger. Notably, the tiger portrayed at the reverse of a coin is considered “the king of the mountain”. There is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse of the coin.

Jewelled Tiger Coin (Australia)

The Jewelled Tiger coin is among the rare coins issued by the Perth Mint of Australia. Collectors could buy it only from 2020. It is struck from 10oz of pure 99.99% gold. The coin honors a tiger with a magnificent three-dimension representation. The tiger’s body is crafted from 18-carat rose gold and studded with spectacular Argyle pink diamonds. A Muzo emerald shines from each eye. The Chinese character "tiger" is engraved on the coin.
