At the end of September at the Paris Motor Show 2016 will be the world premiere of the new KIA Rio 4 generations hatchback. The new Rio will enter production towards the end of 2016 and go on sale across European markets in early 2017. Compared with the European market, in Russia under the brand Kia Rio there is a specially developed model which differs from the main one in a number of parameters. This hatchback version has the increased wheelbase and other engines. The company will notify about some changes of Kia Rio sedans for the Russian market later.

The Rio is the Korean manufacturer's global best-selling model, with more than 473,000 sold around the world in 2015, accounting for 16 per cent of Kia's annual sales. In January-July 2016, sales reached about 242,000 units.

The dimensions of the new generation of Kia Rio are slightly changed: the length is increased by 15 mm, the width - by 5 mm, the wheelbase - by 10 mm. In addition, the model became lower by 5 mm.

The front panel of the novelty is deployed to the driver. You can control the multimedia system and navigation on the touch screen. Thanks to this, the number of buttons on the center console has been significantly decreased.

In Europe, the car is being sold only in a hatchback version. The development of the appearance of the Kia Rio 2017 in a new body engaged in design studios in Germany and California, and helped them specialists from the main center of the brand, which is located in the South Korean Namyange. Compared with its predecessor, the new KIA Rio 2017-2018 became stricter and more solid look. Over the past 7 years, more than 500,000 Kia Rio cars have been sold in Russia.
