The oldest university in the US has produced 29 billionaires – the most billionaire alumni to date. The total net worth of Harvard’s richest former students is $207 billion. Among them are the owner of NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers Steve Ballmer ($90.2 billion) and Brazilian investment banker Jorge Paulo Lemann ($14.5 billion), as well as the former CEO of Goldman Sachs Lloyd Blankfein ($1.2 billion).

2nd place – University of Pennsylvania

Fourteen heads of state, including the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump, studied at the University of Pennsylvania. The Penn, which was founded in 1740, was also the alma mater of 28 billionaires. California’s Stanford University occupies third place on the list. Its 28 billionaire alumni have a total net worth of $124 billion. The most famous of them are David Velez, the founder of the digital bank Nubank ($4.6 billion), Yahoo’s co-founder Jerry Yang ($2.7 billion), and Vlad Tenev, the founder of Robinhood ($2.4 billion).

4th place – Yale University
