Photo on a bank note: what will be imaged on the new Russian bank notes
On Wednesday, February 1, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation approved the design of the new banknotes with denominations of 200 and 2000 rubles.
Selecting the image preceded the contest, where the RF citizens suggested their ideas of symbols for the new banknotes. It was held from June to October last year. The contest included no less than 5000 sights of the 1113 Russian cities.
The first place in the image contest goes to the Far East. Let us remember, the launch facility of the Vostochniy Cosmodrome was built here.
The Vostochniy Cosmodrome and the bridge to Russky Island will be imaged on the new bank note with denomination of 2000 rubles. The bridge is located nearby Vladivostok and connects the Nazimov peninsula with Russky Island.
The second position in the contest of symbols for the new banknotes goes to Sevastopol. The most well-known place of interest in the city – the momument to the scuttled ships – will be imaged on a bank note with denomination of 200 rubles.
The view of the Chersonesus national reserve will be posted on the other side of the bank note.
The issue of new bank notes is expected to be the first step towards the renovation of the Russian means of exchange.
