December 7th, US Vice President Joe Biden visited Kiev, where he made a speech in the Verkhovna Rada. During the speech, the US politician was rather emotional and assertive. "You have a historic opportunity to be remembered as the Rada that finally and permanently laid in place the pillars of freedom that your people have longed for so many years," Joe Biden said.

The politician explained that the whole world is tracking the parliamentarians’ actions. He also noted that the “spectators” support the Ukrainian attempts to ease pressure from Russia.

The US Vice President said that the US will maintain its pressure until Moscow meets its obligations under the Minsk agreement.

Besides, the politician raised again the issue of Crimea’s annexation. He said that the United States will never recognize Crimea as territory of the Russia Federation.

The audience responded with thunderous applause to Joe Biden’s speech in Kiev.
