In February 2025, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate slightly decreased to 3.35% from 3.37% in the previous month. This figure represents the lowest rate since last July. The decline is attributed to a reduction of 2,000 in the number of unemployed individuals, bringing the total to 403,000. Concurrently, employment rose by 13,000, reaching a total of 11.618 million. However, the youth unemployment rate, specifically for job seekers aged 20 to 24, experienced a slight increase to 11.33%, up from a nearly nine-year low of 11.14% in January. Additionally, the labor force participation rate saw a modest rise to 59.36%, compared to 59.31% in the previous month.
