In February 2025, Taiwan's industrial production experienced a significant upturn, registering a 17.91% increase year-on-year, up from a revised growth of 4.87% in January. Manufacturing output showed accelerated growth, rising by 18.95% compared to 5.3% in the previous month. The mining and quarrying sectors demonstrated a rebound with a 1.97% increase, contrasting with a contraction of 12.13% the prior month. Electricity and gas supply output decreased but at a slower rate, declining by 0.86% against a 1.73% drop in January. In contrast, water supply production continued on a downward trend, falling by 2.02% compared to a 0.57% decrease in the previous month. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose by 4.81% in February 2025, recovering from a 3.81% decline that had been upwardly revised for January.
