In April 2025, Zambia's annual inflation rate was recorded at 16.5%, marking the lowest point in four months and remaining consistent with March's figures. The deceleration of food price growth, which declined to 18.7% in April from 18.9% in the previous month, was attributed to favorable weather conditions that eased the prices of vegetables and fruits. However, the weak performance of the kwacha contributed to sustained high levels in non-food inflation, which climbed to 13.4% in April, up from 13.2% in March. On a month-to-month basis, there was a 1% rise in prices.
