In March 2025, Slovenia experienced a 9.5% decline in tourist arrivals compared to the same period the previous year, totaling 305,403 visitors. This follows a 1.4% drop in February, indicating a continued downward trend. The decrease was largely attributed to a 14.4% reduction in foreign tourists, which fell to 195,356. In contrast, domestic arrivals saw a modest increase of 0.9%, reaching 110,047. The most significant declines in foreign visitors came from Germany (a decrease of 33.5%), Austria (down by 17.7%), and Italy (a 7% fall). However, arrivals from Serbia and Croatia bucked the trend, rising by 15.6% and 2%, respectively. Slovenia recorded 768,327 overnight stays in March 2025, reflecting an 8.7% decrease from the previous year. The majority of these overnight stays occurred in health spa resorts, which accounted for 29.7% of the total, followed by the capital city with 18%, and mountain resorts at 17.6%.
