Colombia's primary economic indicator experienced a year-on-year increase of 1.14% in April 2025, marking a deceleration from the 4.52% growth observed in the preceding month. This slowdown was attributed to a downturn in the manufacturing sector, which shrank by 3.89% following a 4.89% expansion in March. Additionally, primary industries witnessed an intensified contraction, slipping from a 10.82% growth to a 1.71% contraction. Meanwhile, the growth rate in the services sector also diminished, slowing from 4.67% to 2.60%. On a seasonally adjusted monthly comparison, the indicator increased by 1.57% from March.
