For the week ending July 11, US utilities added 46 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas to storage, raising the total to 3.052 trillion cubic feet (tcf). This is a significant increase compared to the 18 bcf increase during the same week the previous year and surpasses the average addition of 41 bcf observed over the period from 2020 to 2024. Consequently, gas inventories now exceed the five-year seasonal average by 6.2%.
