European Stocks Rebound on Thursday

European stocks experienced a robust surge on Thursday, effectively recouping the losses sustained over the last three sessions as investors evaluated significant corporate earnings and reconsidered the prospects for European commerce. The Eurozone's STOXX 50 rose by 1.6% to close at 5,370, while the broader STOXX 600 increased by 1% to finish at 547. Schneider Electric led the Eurozone rally, ascending 7.7% on news suggesting it might acquire Temasek’s remaining 35% stake in its Indian branch. Concurrently, ASML climbed 3.9%, recovering from the previous session's decline due to a subdued forecast. Banking and technology sectors also ended the day on a positive note. Conversely, Nordea dipped 2.7% following a report of lower-than-expected profits. Beyond the Eurozone, ABB experienced a substantial gain of 9.9% after achieving a record order volume. However, Novartis saw a decline of nearly 2%, despite surpassing profit expectations and unveiling a $10 billion share repurchase plan.
