FX.co ★ Vietnam Industrial Output Rises for 6th Month

Vietnam experienced an 8.5% year-on-year increase in industrial production in July 2025, a rise from the revised 8.0% growth observed in June, which had represented the slowest growth rate over a five-month period. This improvement marked the sixth consecutive month of industrial output expansion. Several sectors showed continued growth: manufacturing rose by 9.3%, slightly higher than June's 9.2%; electricity and gas supply surged to 7.0% from 3.9%; and waste management recorded a 9.1% increase, albeit slightly down from June's 10.6%. Additionally, the mining sector saw a positive turnaround, growing by 2.6% compared to a contraction of 0.3% in the previous month. Cumulatively, for the first seven months of the year, industrial output grew by 8.6%. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production increased by 0.5%.
