In June 2025, the construction output in the Czech Republic saw a significant year-on-year increase of 14%, improving from 11.6% growth observed in the previous month. This represents the strongest performance since March 2022, primarily driven by a notable surge in civil engineering projects, which rose by 20.3%, up from 13.1% in May. Conversely, growth in building construction experienced a slight slowdown, registering at 10.3% compared to 10.8% previously. Additionally, there was a 9.5% decline in the estimated value of building permits issued, particularly impacting new construction projects. The commencement of new dwellings decreased by 2.5%, totaling 2,637, while the completion of dwellings surged by 40% to reach 3,775. On a monthly comparison, construction output increased by 2.6%.
