European Shares Set to Open Flat

European equity markets are expected to open with little movement on Tuesday, continuing a subdued beginning to December as regional markets strive to gain momentum. Investors are keenly awaiting economic data releases from both Europe and the United States, particularly the preliminary inflation data for November in the Euro Area and the unemployment rate for October. Additional data releases from within the Eurozone include unemployment statistics from Spain and Italy. Meanwhile, in the United States, the delayed September PCE Index, which is the Federal Reserve's favored measure of inflation, is scheduled for release on Friday and is anticipated to indicate ongoing yet stable inflation. Other important data scheduled for this week includes the November ADP private employment numbers and the preliminary consumer confidence index for December. No major corporate earnings announcements are slated for today. In premarket trading, futures for the Euro Stoxx 50 and the Stoxx 600 were both hovering around the same levels as before.
