Estonia March Inflation Rises to 3.6%

Estonia’s annual inflation rate accelerated to 3.6% in March 2026, up from a seventeen‑month low of 3.1% in February. The increase was driven mainly by transport costs, which rebounded to 7% after a 0.4% decline in the previous month, reflecting higher diesel and petrol prices. Healthcare prices (11.7% vs 12%) also remained elevated, following last April’s adjustment of the health insurance fund price lists.

Inflation continued to rise for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.2% vs 5.5%), alcohol and tobacco (7.7% vs 7.9%), and miscellaneous goods and services (4.8% vs 4.4%). By contrast, prices fell further for clothing and footwear (-5.6% vs -5.7%) and for insurance and financial services (-11.7% vs -13.3%).

On a monthly basis, consumer prices were unchanged in March, after a 0.8% increase in the previous month.
