The number of tourist arrivals in Macau rose 11.3% year-on-year to 3.4414 million in April 2026, following a 10.6% increase in the previous month. Same-day visitors and overnight visitors grew by 19.4% and 0.6%, respectively.
The average length of stay decreased by 0.1 day from a year earlier to 1.0 day, while the average stay of overnight visitors remained unchanged at 2.3 days.
By source market, arrivals from mainland China climbed 13.1% year-on-year to 2.41 million in April, with visitors under the Individual Visit Scheme increasing 16.1% to 1.24 million. Visitors from Hong Kong (680,521) and Taiwan (101,453) rose by 3.1% and 32.2%, respectively.
Arrivals from the Philippines (+19.6% to 51,544), Thailand (+41.8% to 29,008), and the United States (+13.9% to 15,299) also increased. In contrast, visitor numbers from India (-16.1% to 10,480) and Indonesia (-26.8% to 19,656) declined.
Over the first four months of 2026, total visitor arrivals grew 13.1% year-on-year to 14.66 million.
