Italian Consumer Sentiment Edges Higher in June, Thomson Reuters IPSOS Index Shows

Italy’s consumer confidence nudged up in June 2026, according to the latest Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) data, signaling a modest improvement in sentiment among Italian households.

The index rose to 43.71 in June 2026 from 43.38 in May 2026, based on figures updated on 11 June 2026. While the gain is slight, the move suggests that Italian consumers are feeling marginally more optimistic about their economic outlook compared with the previous month.

The Thomson Reuters IPSOS PCSI is closely watched as a barometer of consumer attitudes toward the economy, household finances and spending intentions. Italy’s latest uptick, though small, may be seen by market participants as a tentative sign of stabilizing sentiment in the country.
